“'twas a gloomy day. The pouring rain had started at the early hours of morning and didn't show a sign of ending. And yet two teams were preparing to face each other on the Blood Bowl pitch.

The hobgoblin team Kneebiters was hosting a game against the orcish Gargants of Little River. The spectators cursed the weather but the players didn't mind. At least no one would collapse oh heat exhaustion.

With the rain pouring down around them the orcs didn't realize the game had started before the hobgoblins started pounding them. Lucky for the orcs a hob tried to run a bit more than is healthy on slippery field and landed on his back.

And still the rain kept pouring.

So the orcs started to play too. First they hit the Kneebiters frontline and then Prart went and picked up the ball. The rain didn't seem to bother him at all.

And still the rain kept pouring.

Prart begun to slowly run towards the end zone while the other protected him. And that protection was effective and decimated the Kneebiters defense: on turn 2 Tunz Bonedweller was hurt badly and on turn 3 Rag Madburner was injured. The hobs managed to fall Prart however and the slippery ball was lying on the field once more. None of the hobs managed to get to the ball how ever.

And still the rain kept pouring.

So the orcs started to bash again and this time it was Dan Dreadfang who fell victim to the orcs brutality. After Pork 'Eyesplitta' had picked up the ball Rok 'Murdalova' reached over and hit Dan hurting him badly. The slippery field played a trick on Rok though as he fell as well.

And still the rain kept pouring.

Pork slowly advanced to the end zone and the half time score was 1-0 to the orcs. And 3 hobs were already out of the game permanently.

And still the rain kept pouring.

The second half didn't start very well for the hobs: Nek Stoneyell hit Rok and fell him but sprained his groin doing so. Luckily the Kneebiters apothecary knows something about first aid and Nek avoided missing the next game due to injury.

And still the rain kept pouring.

The orcs started to advance on the ball and hobs tried to act fast. Daget Bigfang went and picked up the ball and tried to pass to the lone hob barely visible through the rain. The pass went horribly wrong and landed just a few feet from Puk 'Gutgorge'.

And still the rain kept pouring.

Puk went and picked up the ball and started towards the end zone. To protect the ball Birg took a swing at Nek who was hurt badly. This time there was no apothecary to save him.

And still the rain kept pouring.

Two turn later Porag 'Bloodspilla' hit Bez Metalbrain causing a concussion and the orcs were starting to look like clear winners. Especially after on turn 7 Puk carried the ball all the way to the end zone making it 2-0.

And still the rain kept pouring.

The hobs still tried to run through the orcish line in the middle of the field. That did them no good and game ended 2-0.
