#4 Kaba – Dead (RIP)
#10 Washi – Broken Ribs (MNG)
#11 Kitsune – Dead (RIP)
The opening match of the Fireflies premiership debut.

It was inevitable that in this matchup Zara would make an appearance, and she proved her worth in the first half. Not managing to actually keep players off permenantly, she did however keep mummies down and create a few knockouts that gave the Flies a score.
The second half didnt go quite so kindly, and Zara was soon disposed of. A semi cage and run down the sidelines by the Khem proved enough for them to ties the match.

Well played Barre, and good luck for the rest of the season!

Twahnlows:

3: Plagreek Cyst, Whose boot to Kaba proved deadly enough that not even the Doc could revive her
2: Thritt of Fester Spike, for killing Kitsune
1: Warpesurge Quirk, for scoring under pressure

#14 Rotost the Infectious – Dead (RIP)
Well after a disappointing season the DRW were looking to get off to a flier with the opener of Season XXXVI. It was going to be a tough ask though against some primed zons and their favourite daughter in Zara.

Zara was damaging early although in that respect held a lonely front, the girls losing their "kicker" early to a blatant boot. Perhaps they should have left that part of their game at home because the retaliation was brutal, RIP Kaba. The Fireflies did enough damage on the field to open things up i nthe first half, though not enough to put players out of action for long. After a costly early mistake the zons had the run of the field and put up the 1st half score. 1-0.

Then the second half came a long and the tide changed, a brutal opening display saw the DRW gain the upper hand and after removing some players we pushed for the early score. Hoping the capitalise on the short numbers the DRW were disappointed to see that most of their opponents return to finish the game and from that point it was a scramble to hold them out, which they did for the final result 1-1.

Twahnlows:
3: Malaika, disposed of Rotost, the DRW legendary fouler
2: Kaba, early cas could have started a nasty snowball
1: Tanuki, proved useful against her bigger opponents
