We kick and start well, managing to BH their wrestle blitzer with our MB wolf on turn 1. T2 and we can blitz their AGI5 catcher with the ball, but a linefrog standing next to him catches the scattered ball and leaps over our wolf to make it 1-0 on T3!
An unfortunate kick lets us hand the ball to our rookie golem and we advance forward in style with 3 KOs in the first two turns. T5 and a sweet leaping -2d blitz comes up POW / both-down for their block linefrog and the ball is tossed by the crowd right into their endzone. Their catcher can just about get there and picks up the ball- but with a crowd surfing a very real possibility he's forced to GFI ... and trips badly hurting himself!!
We swarm in, trying to pick up the ball with our rookie wolf for a skillup touchdown but he fumbles it twice in a row, and on T8 their linefrog leaps up, steals the ball in a tackle zone, dodges away and goes for a pass downfield to make it impossible for us to score... but a zombie intercepts it!! He makes the double GFI to our wolf who finally catches it and we make it 1-1!
Half time and all 3 of their KOs wake up so it's 11 vs 9 of them, and they make it more even straight away with a -AV injury on a zombie. Then they literally LEAP into action with two slann getting right over our defensive line and after the ball, though fortunately we react well and quickly run upfield, scoring on T4 with 2/3 of our RRs used up.
They only have 8 to try and equalise with as we kick off again, moving the ball into a blitzers hands in the centre. We can get a 2d blitz with a wolf without much trouble but we reroll a both-down result into double skulls --- needlessly as I notice right afterwards the blitzer has no block and my wolf does!!
He needs a leap to get to freedom, but lands very awkwardly indeed, badly hurting himself! Now out of rerolls we give a quick turnover but fortunately they are unable to really get at the ball and a turn later we have a swarm of players around it, and the match ends without further TDs.
