A classic Human vs human match! The Goons came in looking to whittle down the Hoodz with blocks and fouls and follow up with some easy marches for TD's but this strategy was just not going to work this game.

The Goons received the ball and started dropping blocks and fouls while setting up a pretty secure cage at midfield. The Hoodz responded by throwing everything at it to stall it including some frustrating Stand Firm blitzers in key spots. The Goon ballcarrier was tied up the plan was to knock down the SF blitzer and foul him off with a DP standing beside. Instead the thrower double skulled himself leading to a big turnover.

The Hoodz ran away with the ball and the Goons instead played to take some more players off for the 2nd half.

Hoodz receive second half and a great kick and perfect defense make things look brighter for the Goons chances. A couple of bad blocks and some skillful playing put the Hoodz in scoring range, but the Goons counter with a blitz into the sideline formation. The ball is knocked free but the goons have nobody to pick up with. Hoodz secure the ball and again set up a good formation, eventually scoring for a 2-0 lead. This proves too much to come back from and the Hoodz march into the finals.

Great game Gritter, after the Perfect Defence I thought 1-1 should have been easy to pull off. Good luck in the final - go humies!

#5 The Wako Kid – Broken Ribs (MNG)
GLT qualifier final

Yet again Teh Maggot pulls this one out of the fire for the Hoodz scoring 2 TD's for the second match in a row.... what a guy!

This was a very close and tight fought affair, with the Goons soon taking the Hoodz off the pitch to the point the Hoodz played most of the match with 8/9 players.

However a key crowding of the Goons cage first half followed by a rr push back by the carrier on a SF blitzer rolling double skulls proved key early on. After something of a scramble, and a revenge foul during the resultant stall on super blitzer action jacskon to BH, Maggot jogged over the line. He was so complacent though he left a 1db on from a prone mv8 blitzer.... but coach rackasaur missed it as well while Grit whistled innocently to himself.

Second half, with 8 Hoodz and the Goons brought a perfect defence play at kickoff. I thought the game was in the toilet at that stage, however after some ineffective bashing, the hoodz managed a sideline cage with the ball in the hands of ultra Speedy Pancho Villa.

Goon Zack Stortini laughed in the face of the cage though and broke through the tackles to smash pancho down and off the pitch.. Despite the lack of Hoodz on the pitch, they actually found themselves still with better field position and numbers around the ball. It was a desperate scramble, but in the end Maggot, got the ball, was smashed down again but not out, got up dusted himself off and grabbed the ball and dashed over the line.

With 4 turns to survive and 2-0 up, it was still on as Rackasaur lined up a push 1 turn attempt, but blitz put paid to that and pretty much the whole drive from there, with Pancho even having a chance to score but snaking a dodge.

vgg mate, much closer than 2-0 suggested that for sure.
Gl in your next tourny.

Humies ftw!
