“Cheater Invitational - round 1
-----------------------------------------
Endless Hunger couldn't have prayed for an easier or better start. In true goblin spirit they cheated as much as possible, planting a virus that took out more than half of the Massive Mini Minos before the start (Virus) and doping up the terrifying Kleva' (Illegal Drugs) to clean house with the rest.
This game saw the end of a stunty legend, the mighty Mammoth Mino. With 617 awe inspiring SPP's and equipped with block, tackle, tentacles and whatever nasty ability one can imagine it looked like he would be able to win the match on his own. Instead he was mauled by the furious Kleva', who clawed and gnarled on him so badly that neither the regenerative powers or the apothecary could save his life.
The flings were quickly swept aside, Mini Mino Mingler being the last, killed by a diving tackle from Dob. A fearless Maniac Mino remained as a sole player until the second half, where he was killed too, by a ruthless attack from the Endless Hunger star Klikk da Brave and his trusty squig mount Eata'.
With a cleared pitch Endless Hunger let the newcomer Grak da Headhunta show off, running in 4 TD's more before the match clock ran, releasing the Massive Mini Minos from the most nightmarish match they could have envisioned.
Mammoth Mino will be remembered and a big thanks to SirSlappy for keeping a good attitude despite having just about as bad luck as was theoretically possible.”
#1 Mammoth Mino – Dead (RIP) #2 Maniac Mino – Dead (RIP) #3 Mini Mino Bandit – Broken Ribs (MNG) #12 Mini Mino Mingler – Dead (RIP)
“It is an end of an era indeed for the Massive Mini Mino with the death of Mammoth Mino. The Minos will still attempt to rebuild even with the death of the baby minotaur, Maniac Mino. A drastic team overhaul will be forthcoming after the next game in the Loser's bracket for this team.
Pirog gives a great and accurate game summary, one that I cannot top at this time.
A news story about the passing of Mammoth Mino, however, is pending review by the editors.
Good luck to Pirog in the second round of the Invitational. ”
