Well played, too good on the day.
Nuffle sure had his hand in this game and it was a game of totally seperate halves, until turn 16.....but we will come to that shortly.
The first half was a disaster for the Orcs. They couldn't knock the Skaven down, and if they did couldn't even stun them let alone KO them. Meanwhile the "Greatest" was the one handicap, about as bad as you can get.
Meanwhile, the Skaven who had obviously swapped armour with the Orcs before the game were HUGELY out-bashing the Orcs who having started with 13 players quickly found themselves fielding 9 players after the turn 2 Skaven score! AV9 was like paper as the Orcs were stunned or KO'd or Casualtied all over the place.
With only 9 players and players stunned on the pitch vs 11 Skaven, eventually the Orcs lost the ball and went down 2-0.
The 2nd half however was a total reversal of fortunes after the Orcs complained to the ref at half-time who made the teams swap armour back the way it should be. Casualties and KO's were piling up for the Skaven who were getting short on numbers.
After the ref delayed the game for a turn for the armour swap (dammit) the Orcs went on score leaving themselves three turns to tie the game.
Two bad luck turns for the Skaven and the Orcs had the ball and went on to score, leaving the Skaven with a one-turner chance, with only 7-8 players left on the pitch, but that included two MV10 Gutter Runners.
Then, nuffle decided to change the fortunes of the game once again.....
A bad kick by the Orc lineman with Kick (idiot) allowed the Skaven scorer to get the ball reducing the chance of failure.
However, they still needed lots of luck, since they had no re-rolls.
First their blitzer had to make two GFI's to make the blitz push, which he did and got the push on one dice he needed. Then the Gutter Runner had to make 3 3+ dodges and two GFI's which he did!
Dammit!
I need a right of appeal for the cheating Skaven and their armour swapping trick!”
