“A couple raggedy lizard teams meet up. Not a lot of thump on either side, just 1 DP, and 1 MB other than the kroxigors. Prov has a couple nice players, a bull-centaur of a saurus, and a +ST/+AG skink. I had an 11v9 advantage in numbers, but my best player was a +AG/-MA skink with Block.

Then the game happened. Up To Scale used their apo early on for a -av on a rookie saurus. We failed a ball pickup, but it was deep, and despite marking it, Up To Scale couldn't keep us taking it and running off. Scales Sanchez manages to sneak through our lines and POW the ball carrier, pick up the ball...and fall over. Well, we scooped the ball back up and "prevented future interference" from Sr. Sanchez.

Let us pause a moment to honor a really cool skink. Scales Sanchez was 8/3/4/7,SS,Sure Feet,Sprint,Leap, with no injuries, and seemed well on his way to Legend status. He was cut down in his prime, his only offense being prone and too close to my ball carrier (and near a skink with sharpened dewclaws and a bit of a social issue). As the apothecary had been used early on, his services were unavailable when the honorable Scales Sanchez was splattered across the pitch.

His coach and family will mourn, and his enemies celebrate in the streets tonight.

The rest of the game was a lopsided affair, especially once the last of the skinks was removed.

The highlight of the game for Up To Scale was a remarkable TD run by Plushy the Puppy Pulverizer, who blitzed and dodged his way through a wall of lizards to tally the only score of the day for Prov.
