“My thinking has sped up considerably, but I still got hurried and timed out repeatedly. I've noticed I take bigger risks when I'm in a hurry, too. This game has taught me a few things about playing a cage game. I was really haunted by failed 8/9 rolls; I made maybe half of them all game. The game before was like that too. There's not much I can do about the bad rolls themselves, and they might have been enough to make this a hard game to win, but there is a lot I can do about how badly it went. My risk management late in the turn has not been particularly good; a lot of that comes from being rushed, but some of it is a consequence of my risk-happy ways. My tactics mostly aren't bad; PeteW points out that I seem more willing than most to go out of position to make a block, but I think I can manage that just by visualizing how the formation will play out after all the contingencies.
My FUMBBLitis is fading. I made one misclick this game, which seems to be my new average.”
