“A very interesting game. In the first half, we had the ball and played...um...terribly? Our focus was on taking out the wood elf killer (Hussar) - however, every attempt was a push or failure to break armor...we sacrificed position to try to hurt him...in exchange, he inflicted 2 CAS on our players and we gave up a TD. We did have 1 more chance on the last turn of the half, we got a lot of good dice to make some dodges - then the handoff...the pass...all down to the 2+ catch in the endzone...which was dropped. First half was an abject failure.

The second half; however was much different. Snakes on a dodge - and a wardancer for the wood elves is badly hurt. Snakes on a gfi, and the ball is turned over and we turn that into a TD. Some terrible dice by the wood elves and we converted it into a 1-1 lead. We even finally managed to hurt Hussar (a -AG, but apoth saved him and patched him up). However, we gave up the TD and it was 1-2. We struck fast to make it 2-2...and in the process our MB blitzer killed the wood elf one-turner (MA 10 sprint sure foot superstar catcher). With only 2 turns left, the kick was right at the LOS...and here the frustration of losing their superstar was evident...they blitzed and got a push and RR'ed it...I think trying to get some payback...but the bad dice plagued them as without a RR, their AG 5 failed the pickup and the ball were there for the taking at the LOS. A few blocks later and we had the ball heading downfield...with enough of a screen, the wood elves tried, but failed to get to us and we scored for the improbable 3-2 win.
