“We receive first and on T1 put in a foul on their ogre for a KO and a sending off. T2 and we score another KO but let them make space for a 2d blitz on the ball carrier. Fortunately even with a reroll they can only push him back! T3 and they set up a nice 1d blitz and this time knock it free, but luckily they can't steal it. Our dark elf fumbles the pickup near the sideline and they then -2d push him onto the ball and it bounces into the crowd who toss it down towards our endzone. Meanwhile their team is rushing into the KO box like it's going out of fashion... SIX of them in there now!!

We recover the ball but time is running out for the half and in the end we can barely make it in time... 1-0 on T8. 6/6 of their KOs wake up so it's 12 vs 10 of us now (a marauder took a -AGI earlier on).

We blitz and rush at the ball, but they defend well, scoring a KO and a MNG and leaving us with 8 vs 11 by T2. T3 and they crowdpush our claw/mb so we crowdpush a lineman back. They then KILL a rookie marauder and BH another, leaving us just 5 vs 10... ouch!

They rush through and score on T6 with their final reroll saving them from a GFI fail (!!). 1-1 and three turns left with 10 vs 6.. can we hold them back? Our +STR blodge dark elf has the ball so we just need to withstand a 2d block on T8... but they get the POW! Luckily they then trip over trying to go for the pass to the endzone!! Phew!
