“The Raiders' diabolical form against their dark brethren continues, taking them to a 1/3/7 record and out of the Warpstone Open at the first round.

Coach Smyth knew he was outmatched by the Dark Elves crazy amount of balling skills so decided to go the ground and pound route and pick on some of the nigglers and -av players the opposition were carrying. It worked like a treat, with casualties and KO's aplenty. But despite getting the upper hand in the numbers game the Raiders habitual inability to protect the ball on their own drive when faced with +ag strip-ballers surfaced again, and they were turned over and went 1-0 down midway through the first half. A chance to make it 1-1 at the break was fluffed by Dahbahb Grayleaf, who spilled a regulation catch in the endzone. Even worse, the Dark Elves recovered the ball and immediately ran in another score to make it 2-0.

A brief glimmer of hope emerged in the second half when the Raiders' managed to steal the ball after a fumbled hand-off, but Uracibotn Hailkiller tried to force a pass over Impr Pant, who duly intercepted the ball. From then on it was an exercise in ball control from the Dark Elves, and although the Raiders eventually turned the ball over once again it was far too late for anything but a consolation score.
