And thus ends the 1st ELF season of Twin Peaks. It was a brutal episode, too. Just when we thought the last episode against some Chaos was bad and things probably couldn't get worse, they got worse. Chairs, tables, chains, fouls off the top of the cage and through a table, crowd throwing rocks - you name it, this episode had it. Taking on some very rugged wrasslers whose very team name told us about their lack of modesty, the Woods Walkers got off to a great start when the Miz fumbled the first pick up, scoring early. Then we scored again on defense after getting the ball away from Shane McMahon on a 1 die POW blitz. 2nd half started and we were still looking good, though we had lost Deputy Hawk to a damaged back (apo had been spent keeping Sheriff Truman around for this match from an SI mng). We were able to score again in 3 turns, no thanks to the crowd stunning Bureau Chief Cole, and figured we had the manpower to defend for 6 turns. Then the crowd got even more unruly and there was a riot. The refs, clearly in the pocket of I'm Awesome, wound the clock BACKWARDS to give the Pact heels more time. Then the pain started. Special Agent Cooper was fouled to death (took 3 tries because the first 2 were just stuns). The ref finally tossed Michael Cole for use of a chair. Then Shane got revenge on Sheriff Truman for Cooper's earlier 1 die blitz robbing him of a TD by putting Truman through a table, off the top of the cage. The apothecary was seen weeping on the sidelines, cursing his lack of extra herbs and medicinals. And many journeyman were sent to BH and 1 to SI, so that the drive ended with Vince finally getting his TD and the Woods Walkers having 4 players for the final kickoff (both KOs came back reluctantly). We got a pass off and avoided any further harm and the season ended, much to the relief of the remaining cast members.

I knew this game was gonna be rough with 5 Journeymen, but they pulled their weight. The sheer number of CAS was a bit of a fluke, but there were 3 Pact members with Mighty Blow. I still think that 8 CAS is a tad too high for the norm, and it makes playing any kind of AV 7 team a bit frustrating. This has been a very challenging experiment for me to see if I could play wood elves in the kind of environment that is ELF. While I have enjoyed it, and I think it has sharpened my skills (not to mention improved my stats), I don't know if I'll be bringing the Woods Walkers back next season. Honestly, suffering the sheer number of CAS I have is pretty disheartening, especially to lose BOTH Wardancers in a single game. Yes, I could rebuild, but why? I don't really have very many good linemen, both my catchers are niggled, and the only players I have that are worth anything are Chief Cole with Strong Arm and Shelly Johnson with ST 4. Losing Special Agent Cooper and Sheriff Truman pretty much took away this team's greatest strength and I'll most likely have to fire all the -AV players and use journeymen for a long time. The chances of there being another season of Twin Peaks is pretty bleak, but those of us who have been fans for a long time are used to that.

Skills (0):

No skills, and 7 SPP went down the toilet with Cooper and Truman. I can keep Hawk around, though his niggling injury means his days are even shorter than they normally would be. If I hire the 2 journeymen who earned SPPs, I won't be able to afford a Wardancer for a while. This is gonna require some thought...
