“DeathClutch won the coin toss and chose to receive. They attacked Lo, Valhalla from the start and began to devastate the Norsemen. Speedy Beastman, Urijah, ran the ball the entire way letting his offensive line do the heavy lifting. Only about five Norse players were left on the field late in the first half. Strong Runner, Weath the Musician, made an attempt at the ballcarrier. Urijah was able to stay on his feet slipping Weath's tackle twice. The Beastman would then run in the end zone just before the break.
LV received in the second half and Weath was back to pick up the ball. An opportunity presented itself when the drunken Norse fans stormed the pitch and stunned a couple Chaos players. Weath saw an opening in the defense and found the dirty player, Ragnar, open for a completion. LV would score quickly and give themselves a chance for the win.
DC received with plenty of time to produce a score. Urijah once again was back to recover the ball and his offensive line went to work. They were not as successful this time around in dominating the Norsemen and time continued to tick off the clock. Urijah possibly could have waited a couple more turns but the Beastman lost his patience and made a break for the end zone. A Chaos Warrior was pushed away and Weath flew in to the rescue.
The Runner would redeem himself and finally take down Urijah. He recovered the ball and ran up the right side of the field. A Chaos Warrior caught him and the ball flew out of bounds. It was tossed close to midfield. A Journeyman Beastman looking for a contract with DC almost got his wish when he saw the ball land close to him. He managed to pick up the ball and had Coach Flashback13 sweating. Unfortunately his pass was wide left and the score remained tied.
Another draw for DC, will they ever win again?
