A tough-fought battle with the venerable 'Quins.

First drive was all theirs. There's not a ton to be done to stop a pro elf team on offense. We settled for the major threat to the ball and forcing the early TD. 0-1

On our drive, we went as carefully as we could manage, giving up the ball a couple times to crazy elf madness dodge-wise. We almost managed a TD with Patient Gold Dragon, as he caught a bouncing loose ball, but he took a -2db POW to lose it again. Instead, we managed to retrieve the ball on T8 with Monstrous Green Hatchling for the tying score. 1-1 at the half. (Quins got their 2 KOs back, spoiling our "give them only one set of rolls" stalling plan).

Second half, we took a bit better control of things. With some early cas and a couple KOs, we took over the pitch fairly well. The Quins gamely kept trying to blitz the ball free from my caged-up blodging skinks, but they did more damage to themselves in the process. Monstrous Green Hatchling got himself a cas defending the ball, and Jazz McSpellsinger took a -AG tripping to give himself 4AG again. (we anticipate his retirement). In the end, against a ragtag group of remaining elves, we surrounded Patient Gold Dragon and handed him the ball. This time he not only grabbed it, but took it in to earn his first skill-up (just Block, but hey, he needed it). 2-1, and the T16 elf OTT is nipped in the bud with a SF/SS/SS LOS.

After the match, Monstrous Green Hatchling took a much-deserved +AG for his excellent performance!

GG Fouly. Always scary playing elves who don't value life and limb and will stop at nothing to go for the ball. Great opponents.
