Not a terribly noteworthy match. Coming in with more Guard and raw strength than the Short Sellers, the Legion had to be favored in this one. Fouling did a fat lot of nothing for both sides, and got a few sent off even. The only cas were both by my Legion, and took out a ST4 hobgoblin and the minotaur.
First half we ate up the clock and scored. 1-0
Second half we wore down the Short Sellers to the point where they had just 7 on the pitch to our 10, and only a max of 8 for the next drive. I think the plan was originally to tie and see what happened in OT, but they ended up being pressured into scoring T6, leaving me three turns to win it. My drive didn't actually go very well, with a failed, clumsy attempt to free up a cluster of guys to score with. We eventually settled for a -2db push on a bull and 2 GFIs for our MA7 blitzer to get into the end zone in T16, with a 4+ pass to him (and needing the reroll on the 3+) to take the win before we needed OT.
