“With the BC men unable to play due to political nonsense - it was up to the BC Felions to take the field today. Unfortunately, they faced Calgary and we pulled no punches! With the scorching heat of the day making it tough, we used our homefield advantage to sabotage the cooling fans on the BC sidelines. After our first TD, the KOed Felions all stayed out and the heat greatly affected them. However, the quality of Felion coaching came through, as we left them an opening that they nearly exploited - however, the failed pass and being down players gave us the chance to take the 2-0 lead. Even still, there was time left in the first half and the Felions made a great play - sending a blodger towards the endzone - we only had 1 shot at knocking her up - and we got the dice. Still, the Felions could have scored with a dodge, pickup and 2 gfi, but failed the dodge so it was 2-0 at the half.

In the second half, the Felions actually had some KOs wake up (still waaaay below average on wakeups) and got the fans working - and they were ready in the second half - the wizard nearly got them a TD - and it was back and forth action - the fans on their feet cheering...with time running down, Norman Bridewell showed up big...badly hurting one of the Felions, then picking off the desperation turn 16 pass and returning it for a TD.

A tough first game for the Felions - but they shows some real potential and some great coaching - once they get a few skills, they will be a real challenge! Great game - and look forward to the rematch later this season! ”
