“A very good and tough game this one. It was speed against damage. Against the bigger Undead side we brought in two Rat star players to boost numbers and a bit on quality, plus the babes who were very useful. Start off two GRs rushed straight down the middle in their half. We got our only casualty of the game with Hugruck's first block on a zombie. 2nd turn we scored as Skeetz had evaded a blitz he took and so could receive a handoff for a quick td. Death Valley Daze then got two instant kos at kick off and the zombie receiver picked up. Soon after the zombie did a long bomb way up the field which almost came off but the ghoul dropped it. Hakflem failed to pick it up and then a blitzed Ritz Ditx needed the apo's services. A scrap ensued and our team was becoming messed up as our thrower and leader Throt Lobit was killed by a zombie, and raised! Snutz got the ball but eventually he was badly hurt, the Undead regained it and caused more damage before equalising. Second half the babes brought rats back and then crucially the zombie reciever made a fail so we were all over the ball. The unsupported zombie tried to stop Skratx scoring to no avail. After that the Undead marched down over 6 turns to equalize. So we then had a one turn attempt but the rats bungled it. However we experienced over time for the first time. It meant we had another try for victory and this time Skeetz made no mistake (with final rr help!). Fun game.”
