“Crazy game. The all-Hobgoblin line is surprisingly decent at this level. The Minotaur making every hit (apart from one critical 4-push Blitz) didn't hurt, but the main strength IMO is the 5 rerolls right off the start. You can definitely play more balls-out when you have a safety net.
The Elves I think forgot to put on their jock straps, with so many armour breaks I lost count. Ended the game with 3 players on the field, and only two out were from the Minotaur (1 BH, 1 KO).
Apothecary saved Imrik from a Niggling Injury, patching him up so he could sit in the Reserves box until the end of the match. Way to earn your keep for once, sawbones.
All in all a good game. Excellent Hobgoblin defense in the first half and a real nailbiter drive in the second. The elves were forced to score in the third quarter, giving the Hobs a player advantage as they played for the tie. Were it not for some critical 1-die blitzes from the Elves (not always with Block), and a final failed pickup from the Hobs, this could have been a tie.
Oh well. Elves are back to the locker room to watch the tape and to take a good look at their armour.”
