“The Forgotten Villains continue their best ever sequence with a good win over the Duke's Norse. This time we got the rub of the green mainly with the Norse struggling to come back from KOs.
To start with we got the ball to a flank though gave the Vikings a chance to engage Draknil's protection in a blocking battle. Eventually he burst clear in turn 4 with a couple of protectors and the Norse stumbled as they tried to pursue. Turn 7 td. 4 kos versus suffering 1ko and a bh really helped, and in the return we took down the 3 Norse who would have had potential to score in the last turn. Next half our Cheerleader stirred us up again though the Yeti blitzed a space on a flank and Ripper suffered an injury from Thor Optirrson on the LOS. Lord Erfiti bh Thor in revenge but the Norse got the ball up our end but dropped a catch. Moriati tried to pick up and failed, late Draknil also spilled the ball to Oslall. The ag2 man then surprised us by dodging away and getting the equaliser. We then had 5 turns to get the winner. Draknil's "sure hands" failed him at first but with 2 players up (4 after our receiving turn) we controlled the pitch. A great last gasp dodge and pow from Holve to stun Draknil followed by a catch seemed to have made a shock match save for the Norse but he went to the side of the pitch to rely on the fans throw when staying where he was would have made us need a knockdown and pass. He was pushed off and the crowd threw the ball where Moriati could just manage to take it and dash over the TD line. Good game and glad not to suffer the destruction my rats got when we played these.”
