“Very pleased to get a win here after Bill has got the upper hand a couple of times before. We did well but still suffered two notable retirements from the match.
Snow was on the pitch at the start and we elected to kick. The ball went to the back and a fan stunned Smith with a well thrown rock. Then immediately the Chaos badly hurt zombie Werdna. But Svein started his great but brief contribution by furiously fouling (niggled) clawpomber Simmons into the cas box. We suffered a couple of block ok and then next turn Lord Erfiti badly hurt Stoltz, and Svein then kicked and badly hurt clawpomber Johnson but the ref decided it was enough already and sent Svein off. After that there was some skirmishes but a Chaos Warrior got up the flank. Before the final last turn chance Mumm-ra used a reroll on his 2d block and then Potasio took one of his own but suffered double skull and a perm!! Then the Chaos scored. We had one uneventful turn and then it was half time. The Chaos did a nifty reform but Draknil picked up the ball and a loner beastman was ko'd. The Chaos responded and again even down on players they managed to cause another retirement, this time to Dwight Wight. After a little delay Draknil was comfortably able to score the equaliser in turn 4.
The weather turned to wet, we kicked long, and the Chaos started the blocking though Smith tripped up on the flank. Kneecapper and Necrophil advanced towards the ball, Brown then fumbled the ball into the crowd who then did a little pass followed by a big hurl to put the ball in front of Draknil. After that it was straightforward to score though the WMDs were left with two turns of improved weather to try a tough passing play that didn't work out.
Pleased I got some good early fouls in. Important against the autopilot combo. Cheers Bill.”
