My version of events is thus:
Nuffle looked at my disciples and thought, these men do not worship me so I shall punish them.
First half: 2 Blitz kick off rolls and a failed handoff in between saw me 3-0 after only 6 turns (and I received). Scored a consolation TD in turn 8 of the first half, after a lucky bounce saw the ball out of play and thrown back deep into the Rats half, who had over committed to the far side of the pitch.
Second half: Another Blitz kick off roll (after the rats had scored their obligatory 2 turn TD, ended up 6-1 down. To give you an idea of the kind of dice I was rolling, I failed to pick up the ball 4 (used my last reroll on the first attempt) times in 3 successive turns (5th, 6th and 7th) and to really rub salt into the wound I had a chance for a final turn consolation and needed to free up one line elf, (assuming I was going to be able to pick up the ball) and rolled double skulls.

Having calmed down overnight (I was not a happy bunny yesterday evening) I can look back and laugh and will be viewing the game again when I get a chance.
