Ottawa and BBC played to a 1-1 draw last night in a heavy-hitting affair where defensive teams scored both touchdowns.

BC showed up with a long bench of 15 lasses, a wizard, and their own referee. Ottawa won the toss and elected to receive, hoping to start shortening the BC bench as fast as possible. It went well for Ottawa early, who were able to KO a lino and BH another with a well placed boot. On the subsequent drive the ref had seen enough of Abe and his evil boots and sent him off, helping the BC player to her feet. Ottawa caged up the ball, but made it too tight and the wizard unleashed a nasty fireball that stunned three and KO'ed another player. A lucky bounce left it in Ottawa's hands. Ottawa responded by MNG (-AV) the BC MB Blitzer, who had lost the use of the apoth who had just saved a failed bC dodge that resulted in temporary death. Golab then broke free and ran down field toward the goal. With no one to help him it came down to BC rolling a POW on the Blodging dog to free the ball and manage to move it all the way back up field with an impressive series of plays. Meanwhile Ottawa had lost a few more players to KOs and a few to the heavily biased referee. Somewhere in all the chaos Susan gave Moe Latrine a nasty foul, causing -AG, thankfully he regenerated. Never fails that when a player gets a plus stat, you risk losing it the next game.

The second half started with a pitch invasion, which may have save Ottawa. Four from BC down, two from Ottawa. BC took the ball toward the sidelines, but did not account for a speedy wolf that was able to blitz its way to the ball carrier. A failed dodge the ensuing turn from the Felions allowed the dog to pop the ball lose as a huge cluster developed on the sideline. Ottawa had almost all of the BC girls herded into a small space and began to push them to the hungry fans. BC did manage to pick up the ball, but had no option but to head for open field and take their chances, allowing Ottawa to capitalize. At that point Ottawa began knocking out everything in sight, putting 7 girls in the KO box at one point, but seemingly holding back on really hurting them. Moe Latrine marched the ball down field and handed off to Golab for the score. Meanwhile, BC was reluctant to stand up for more abuse, so Ottawa did the only thing it knows how to do, kick players in the head.

It was a very entertaining game. Iskabis is always a great opponent to play, very fun to chat with and ingenious play style. The dice seemed loaded for both sides, except when it came to casualties. POWs abound, as did KOs and crazy plays that all seemed to work. Looking forward to our next match already.
