Ajax was this time taken down and in turn 7 the Elves picked up and handed off to make things look very ominous. But then things improved and Swan redeemed himself by chasing and badly hurting Ben Johnson, and catching the ball. Linford Christie got the ball back with a ko but the half time whistle went (though Cleon caused another badly hurt). 1-0 down. But after ko rolls this meant we were up 11 v 7 players. This proved enough for us to turn it around, just. Ajax took the ball though Mercy managed to push Linford Christie in his way. Linford was surrounded so couldn't deal any damage and then Bolt went out with a bad dodge. After that we were in control of the drive. A vicious gang foul on Andreas Berger meant the apo was needed to do great work on his neck.
After that we were 11 v 5 and the fast Elves just couldn't get receivers past us, though Andreas Berger did receive a pass and even after being taken down caused trouble. Eventually Ajax was able to rush over to score the winning td.
2 TD Ajax and MVP Vermin both showed evidence of improved strength after the game. Hopefully a sign that things have turned around?”
