#7 Deaon Beasley – Smashed Hip (-MA)
A key game, with each rookie team needing the win to keep their playoff hopes alive. The Waterloo Bulls won the coin toss, elected to receive and brought their bash game in spades. Oh and surprise surprise brought Nobbla Blackwort too...

By turn 5 the bombers were down 4 players, Deaon Beasley with a career ending injury and Jovon Johnson out for the match. Digging deep they held the Bulls to midfield and on T6 actually sacked the ball carrier. Neither team could get control until the very last play of the half when the hobgoblin connection of Dylan Duncheap passed to Malcolm Khan who marched in for 1-0 Bulls.

The Bulls showcased thier blitz against the shorthanded Bombers to start the second half, with Malcom Khan catching the Waterloo kick in the Winnipeg half. Brendan LaBatte blitzed back from the line of scrimmage crushing the hobgoblin ball carrier, popping the ball into the hands of Milt Stegal who reversed back near the line of scrimmage.

Winnipeg spent worked their way up field, but Milt tripped on his hooves sprinting across the midfield line. Waterloo emerged out of the scrum with the ball and while Chris Walby and Obby Khan attempted to even the numerical advantage, the Bombers never got another sniff at the ball. Under the skilled coaching of NightBird the Bulls played keep away and made it 2-0 as the final whistle blew.
