#10 Shane Mcmahon – Smashed Hip (-MA)
What a match this was. As so often the Ogres were unpredictable and as so often we couldn't win when there seemed to be a good chance. But today they did cause carnage and got our first pitch clear which Kinderis took very well.
The match started in rainy conditions as the Norse received. A receiver picked up at the back, some Ogres were knocked down and a Norse dirty player was sent off for stunning William Regal with an illegal kick. Kendo then ko'd a Beserker and Les Kellet piled on and blitzed a lineman. The Norse ball carrier then kept back while the rest scrapped in the middle. Shane Mcmahon was seriously injured in a blitz as the Norsemen tried to return some sort of damage. Then in turn 5 they ko'd 2 more snots but in return another Norse was badly hurt in a big Ogre hit. In turn 6 the carrier rushed down our flank while I was committed in the middle. Our Ogres though then dealt another 2kos and a badly hurt in one turn! The troll badly hurt Giant Haystacks who was patched up, and in response the Troll was then injured! (Though he wont miss his agility.) Only Little Lord Lucan could try to prevent a td. He dodged a blitz but alas the carrier made the crucial td. Good work considering the carnage.
Second half we faced 4, we hoped to score 2 but knew we often mess up. The weather turned nice and quickly another Norse player left the pitch while Little Lord Lucan picked up the ball. However after moving nearer the middle I foolishly left their ag4 with a simple dodge to make. A norseman dodged, gfi and took the carrier down! Then his ag4 mate dodged and chucked the ball down field! Massive couple of moves to save defeat.
In the end we eventually scored just 1 but we did clear the pitch!!
