#6 Ho Yinsen – Pinched Nerve (MNG)
This was a fantastic match.

Right from the outset, I set in motion a plan to lull the dwarves into complacency. They secured the ball deep and brought it up the field with their runner. My glorious opponent played impeccably, frequently leaving his runner out in the wide open. I foolishly took the two die blocks on his ball carrier that he offered me and I eventually popped the ball loose. I figured I would try my best not to score in the first half so he would be unprepared in the second half.

The second half started off even better. I disconnected and allowed my opponent to take a free turn because of my 'computer' issues. Ha! He jumped right on it and fell into my trap, knocking out several of my beastmen in the process. I proceeded to roll double skulls a few times just to complete the illusion that my opponent had the upper hand.

When all seemed lost and my opponent had finally shown how completely in control he thought he was, I made two normal blocks to free up the ball from tackle zones. At that point, I walked in with an ag3 (!) beastman and made a normal pickup. He then sauntered over and made a 4+ pass to another beastman who (completely according to my brilliant plan) caught the ball!

From there, my ball carrier went traipsing up the field, using go for its twice to move further out of range. Then, to seal it all off, I made a 1 die block (my first of the entire game) and got a pow. I totally planned it that way.

I know my opponent thought that my plan was outstanding because he couldn't find words outside of his native tongue to describe it all. He was in awe, bowing to the superior play of North Americans over Europeans. Such was his esteem that he offered the following gem:

"Sto perdendo con uno che no sa giocare ma hai troppo c*lo... c*gl**ne."

I can only assume this means:

"You perform with an unparalleled sense of daring, my good sir... congratulations."

And so I say, Hats off to you as well, yuza. Thank you so much for playing as well as you possibly could in the face of overwhelming strategic superiority.
