“Northland Nightmares won the coin toss and chose to receive. They caged up their ballcarrier first then immediately attacked Dragon's Deck. The High Elves danced, dodged and sidestepped their way out of the Berserkers frenzy putting them in tough situations. DD's combination of fast surgical strikes that can hit anywhere and their unusually strong players proved too difficult for NN to handle. They would hit and dodge away before the Norsemen could retaliate. Little by little NN was whittled down until they only had four players left in the first half. Galwen would run in the score at the last second to end the Norse's beating.

DD received in the second half and they wanted to continue their attack. This time the Norsemen were ready and countered. Kensai was badly hurt and Eraldryn was stunned on the same turn putting some pressure on the High Elf offensive line. Not wanting to risk a turnover, a hole was opened up at midfield. A hand off to Talion and the Blitzer was speeding up the right side of the field and into the end zone to put his team in a commanding 2-0 lead with five turns left on the clock.

NN received for the last time and they had a numbers advantage. DD gave just enough resistance as to not allow a quick score. With the High Elves dodging away, the Norsemen advanced the ball up the field and scored on the last turn to prevent the shutout.
