“A fun game this one with the deathroller providing some entertainment though not really worth his weight for the Dwarfs despite decent use of breaktackle for blitzing.
Ripper was ko'd early as the Dwarfs moved into the middle. ag4 Vonig Stonespear moved out wide in turn 3 but Kneecapper Bones was given the chance to knock him down with the help of Necrophil. The stun was important and the Dwarfs couldn't recover the ball. Draknil grabbed it from beneath the deathroller but it was driven right back at him and down he went. Vonig had a glimpse of the td line in his sights but Draknil leaped up and with a rr and assistance he got another knockdown and scampered off with the ball. It took some careful manouvering but eventually he got a handoff to Necrophil who charged down the flank uncontested to score the winning td.
Second half we had 2 players up (a dwarf was niggled) so were confident but we spread our players about a tad too much and the Blodge Dwarf runner Vonig caused Draknil some headache. We held the edge but after numerous attempts Vonig took down Draknil in turn 8. Draknil got the ball back but with a scatter behind our players an unnecessary block fail (dskulls) scuppered a Wight's chance to take the ball. As it was 1-0 is plenty enough. Fun game.”
