A rather back-and-forth game between two nearly identical skaven teams. The difference came in that FTL has become a 1-turn td maker, aka a difference maker. Even though our rat ogre bh'd himself on a bad block early on, his teammates didn't give up. The ball went fighting back and forth for much of the first half, finally having the opponent score on his last turn. Now it came time for FTL to shine, and he did, scoring the tying td in just our one turn 8. Halftime: 1-1.

Second half kickoff, we're all set to do some racing around the outside. Only problem was the blitz which found the Unbelievable! team with all the blockers to the far outside and only the thrower in the middle, waiting to get pounded by a rampaging horde of angry enemy rats. He stood his ground, and there was some back-and-forth, but eventually having the ball start so deep in our own territory allowed Hamburg to score the go-ahead td with just two turns remaining.

We only have two shots at getting it in, have to do something special--we're lined up for another one-turn wonder trip to glory lane, when what should happen again? Blitz. Of course. I don't know the statistics, but I face down blitzes an awful high percentage of the time. Fortunately, this time I'm more prepared, and though the enemy gets rats behind my lines he's unable to take complete control of the ball. Some fancy dodging, a little handoffing and then away goes FTL off to the races and the tying score yet again. Without a 1-turner of his own, the opposing coach opted to end the game gracefully, accepting the tie and not fouling my los rats to oblivion.

I really hate having to use FTL in this manner--he much prefers to allow others to score, setting himself up as merely a block-assist-expert, but when the team's back is to the clock wall and we're about to lose by only one score, then you gotta use what you got to use, ya know?
