“My opponent left a gap in his line on his opening play and this allowed me to stick two tacklezones on his ball carrier. From there we both struggled for ascendency and eventually the early pressure he allowed me to put on him paid off when he made a mistake.

I stole the ball and eventually scored to take a 1-0 lead. A lucky recovery for me considering his first 3 blocks were Pows, with one causing a death on a CD with Guard (apothed).

Second half I started with the ball and again we had a tense struggle for the ball. My opponent managed to steal it temporarily with his Goblin before I knocked him out.

I then had some very lucky rolls to pick up the ball with a CD, GFI and pass to a Bull Centaur who ran 9 and then had to dodge the following turn with no rerolls (needing 4+) to score a second TD late in the game.

My opponent played pretty well most of the game though a couple of mistakes cost him big. We both had a string of lucky one dice pows during the game too which tipped the game first one way then back the other.

Certainly wasn't an easy victory.”
