“One of those days when we had chance after chance but nuffle says no. Good match but gutting result.
First turn a Chaos Warrior causes a serious injury to Vilit while a beastman picks up the ball. In response Throatripper charged in for an assisted blitz..and triple skulled!! His lonerish ways prevented the td.
As the Chaos moved up Zloos had a chance to take down Dawson and the ball, he stripped it but then fumbled and Dawson caught it back!! With a turn of pace Dawson then scored.
We had time to score, so we thought, but the WMDs blitzed and the Raiders were in disarray. The ball was covered and Zloos crucially couldn't pick it up. Skratz Dashitz stood shocked at the incompetence and was promptly taken out of the game by superstar Oswalt. More drops followed by a final attempt to score for us failing when Skeetz spooned a short pass aimed at Zloos. The Chaos tried their own tough passing move, also failing, before Throatripper kept up his days moronic effort with a gfi fail (one of many in the team today).
Second half Zloos handed off to Skeetz. Before he could charge up field we needed some cover, but the 2nd linerat failed two gfis and crashed down. After sidestepping a hit we then had our main successful tricky move of the match with Skeetz dodging up field to regain the ball. He was brought down but Zloos managed to snatch the ball and score.
After that the Chaos moved forward, initially hampered by rocks thrown by the furious crowd. Zloos had two early attempts to blitz down the ball carrier, but first failed a dodge and next failed a gfi. Skeetz covered the carrier but was taken down. A couple of poor turns followed (just a few actions including a roaring rat ogre, a gfi reroll and a skull) and then Skeetz was stunned after covering the carrier. Another skull followed.. Then turn 8 Zloos had a final chance.. He managed the gfi, used dauntless, stripped the ball and then ANOTHER CHAOS SCATTER CATCH. Great performance from the Chaos with the ball and they won the game as Shimmel brought down Skeetz so Kartz could score.
