“An exciting match but the Plebeians looked weak today.
It was swelteringly hot throughout the match. The skaven reformed quick but an inaccurate kick led to Gevehard carrying the ball from the LOS. After some manouvreing he elected not to score (gfi) in turn 3 but Jesiah was blocked down and a linerat ran in to smash Gevehard to the ground. Jesiah was ko'd and didn't recover till the last turn of the match. He was sorely missed and his final turn return was the only ko recovery from around 10 chances for him and others! After some crowding of the ball eventually Gotwinus "The Barrel" got through the space freed by Fato and got the ball and td.
We then blitzed the Skaven at kickoff with one blitzer getting next to the ball but the skaven pow'd us down with ease and had no trouble scoring after a failed attempt from Wilhelmus to take down the carrier GR.
Second half we had another blitz! Things looked up as the ball bounced off Drerh's stunned head into Wilhelmus's waiting hands. Wilhelmus was protected by a screen as he went down the flank for a second td.
However with the sun impact and Jesiah still out we were down to 8. No rats had yet been hurt at all. Apo also had been used to keep Wilhelmus in shape earlier in the match. The skaven scored quick and next setup we were down to 7! Jesiah's sure hands were missed as Wilhelmus spooned the ball. A gutter took the ball but Aranold took him down. But again the ball was dropped, this time by Aranold, and the game was lost as Sefale claimed it. There was one last blitz attempt from Wilhelmus to save the draw but again the strength was lacking from him and us today. Tough to lose in last turn but still entertaining. The GRs were effective and we just couldn't seem to hurt them. A wake-up call for the Plebeians.”
