In this game, my elf team was able to pretty much move about at will and scored 4 TD's without having to really decimate the underworld.
From this game, and to help us both as a reminder for our Underworld efforts, we learnt the following:
1. Wrestle on line rats is not so much crash hot. This I think is more the case vs agile elves because the elves can get up and move away easily and also the loss of the linerat TZ frees more space for other elves to pour through. gumbi's team also has a wrestle gobbo... perhaps not the best use of a double there.
2. Elves are a nightmare to defend against and would be even worse if it was woodies due to the leaping wardancers. My elves here, without fear, dodged around the loose screen offence of the Underworld and in addition with a well placed blitz, getting TZ's on the Underworld throwers (who lacked block / dodge) wasn't hard.
3. Kick skill murders Underworld and perhaps KoR should be considered on one thrower to use as a ball retriever. In this game, 3 kick offs landed in the Underworld end zone (which is lucky) but with Point 2 above, the Underworld got pressured big time by the fast moving elf catchers. Maybe a KoR retrieval and then a pass to the other Thrower would be best on turn one rather than a deep setting cage.
4. gumbi's team lacked 2 heads... only one gobbo from memory had it, so perhaps forget every other option such as wrestle etc until the offence is geared around 2 headed gobbos.
5. An extra apoth for inducement... wasnt needed and nor was the first one. Against elves, who will run around rather than through, perhaps babes / cards would be better.
Good luck gumbi!”
