Heard close to the Brawlers dugout prematch.

After being thoroughly beaten last season in a 3-1 drubbing by the USV it can only be assumed that the Brawlers brought along some home town support for their prematch pep rally. And what a rally it must have been with the USV balking on the attack no less than seven times during the game. Four of these were key blitzes to try and secure some pitch. However, they can't really be blamed...we've all heard the stories about Debby.
Despite applications for the position steadily rolling in the USV were still without a head coach for the match and glaring mistakes were made.
1. Sam still doesn't know why he screamed for the ball during the first half when he was surrounded by players and a pestilent miasma hung in the air. Perhaps he wanted something soft nearby to try and fall on.
2. Failure to take note of Pierott's guarding posture saw Tex try and limp into position to help free up Abe. Alas, it was not to be with Tex tumbling to the ground.
Still it was a good match with the USV proving they can defend against a physically stronger team without G'Doubya shoring up the line, its just a shame Angrypants was unable to get Tomas down with his blitz.

“It’s great to be schoolin noobs again” – Tomay.
During their first season, the Bayshore Brawlers appeared to be a bashing oriented outfit hellbent on putting their opponents in the casualty box and walking in easy touchdowns. This season however, the Brawlers have lost their bite. Despite failing to hurt the seemingly fragine United States of Vanilla, the Brawlers finally got revenge for their defeat last season in the two teams third encounter. The Brawlers spent most of the match with fewer players on the field thanks to the strong performance of the USV blitzers. Still, a valiant defensive effort in the first half set them up for a victory. The Victory did come, but it was sketchy at best when they found themselves down on men again in the second half, with the USV swarming around the ball. A clever break from Uncle Wally and a handoff to The Rover allowed a desperation move to reach the line and secure a 1-0 victory.
The Bayshore Buff’s 3-2-1 Voting
3- Whiskeylovin – Very good effort on defense in the first half and threw a bunch of blocks.
2- The Rover – failed to hit anything but displayed uncharacteristically good ball skills to get the lead.
1- Bald Fergus – secured the area around the ball to prevent USV’s opportunity to score during the first half.
