#13 Lucky Black – Fractured Arm (MNG)
Coaching mistakes were made on both sides that might have won the game either way (at the very end of either half), but still, a crazy game, with Star Player Helmut Wulf writing much of the first half with his chainsaw! The Stashes' blocking was almost letter perfect, and together they had removed FIVE players by Turn 3. Still, the D'Elfs managed to knock the ball free and win a scramble for it, to punt deep back into the Humans' end of the field, starting the chaos over, but fielding only 6 men to 11. They Stashes recovered and passed back near the Aggroes' goal on Turn 5, but their ball handling then left the stadium, and the A's - by now down to 4 men - somehow found themselves with a 0-0 tie at halftime, largely thanks to Wulf killing himself to start Turn 8 with the ball completely undefended at the goal.

7 Aggroes took the field start of 2nd half to receive (with 3 more still unconscious), but this time not facing a chainsaw. A deep pass on Turn 10 was dropped, but despite a small crowd of opponents the Aggroes dodged in and out, scooping and scoring as only elves can. taking the 1:0 lead.

Turn 11 saw 8 D'Elfs kicking, and the Humans immediately jumped out and took a position half-way up the opposing field near the sidelines, and another scramble ensued, but despite changing possession, flawless blocking dice and some favorable bounces in heavy traffic gave them the late 1:1 tie on Turn 14.

Turn 15, the elves went for the win, and almost - almost - pulled it off, but had (inexplicably!?) wasted their last RR the previous turn, and so a failed GFI on the goal line (but out of reach of the Stashes) put this one in the Tie column - quite possibly where it belonged.

Respect to Coach M for a good game - I'm sure we'll see more of him and the 'Stashes!

(As a footnote, the only permanent casualty of the game was dealt by the Stashes to themselves on the first bad block of the game, to end the game Turn 16. Nuffle has a very strange sense of humour, indeed.)
