The fans stared a riot, once that settled down, here came the frogs. The lept in, setting up positions, with Morg 'n' Thorg waiting in the backfield with the ball in hand. Thankfully, a lucky miss by the wizard's lightning bolt kept the Smeagles from securing a completely favorable position. After that, the orcs just started pressing hard, marking defenders, and rushing towards the ball. Rizggy seriously injured a linefrog, as the orcs attempted to make something happen. What the did make happen was opening a hole for Thorg to run through and make a pass attempt the the covered blitzer. I say attempt, because the pass was intercepted by Ja'cou Grizzle-Chewer, who took off towards the endzone. Thorg, not happy about this, decided to make his way over, and wreck havoc on the gathering orcs. The ball was popped loose, and the Smeagles recovered, but a black orc blitz pushed the defended out of bounds, resulting in the ball being thrown within scoring distance of our goal. Smart play, Honkie. But, as the frog blitzer tripped while making a break for the ball, the riot, and the time it wasted, finally caught up with the Smeagles, as this closed the first half, 0 all.
The second half started out like a mess: two blown passes by Gerrf, and the Smeagles leaping in, recovering the ball, and making their way towards the endzone. But, all of a sudden, here comes Charick with a last minute blitz, stunning the ball carrier, and recovering the ball himself. The ball eventually ended up in the hands of Marlack, who rushed his way into the endzone. The final few plays of the second half saw the Smeagles attempt to get a frog open for the tying score, but the orc defense proved to be too much. So, despite all of the booing from the spectators(Grr_Argh), Da Fall Boyz sneak away from this one with a win.
Honkie is a great coach, and I am sure that our paths will continue to cross, in game.”
