THIS WAS AN EPIC GAME.

Probably the best Lizards vs Lizards game I've had.

Started out with a Blitz against me, which led to a score, followed by a Perfect Defense. First few turns were very frustrating, and my opponent was extremely good Lizard coach. (You can tell in the replay that I was terrified of his skinks!) Eventually, we made some KOs, and I thought we could comfortably stall for 2 turns. BUT RAYOS Y TRUENOS WE'RE HAVING ANY OF THAT! Krox, skinks, and saurus all hurled themselves into the backfield, and with my Krox moving only 4, to his 6.... you can imagine the panic. The score was stopped thanks to a Skull/BothDown blitz into the endzone space, which grounded my skink.

BUT THEN things went badly for the Rayos. Their 2 best saurus slept through the beginning of the second half, and a snaked dodge by their Ag4 let us devastate the local skink population, and then recover the ball. We were initially uncertain whether to try for the win, or secure a tie, but Nuffle kept letting injuries drop into our lap, and a lucky cas on a saurus gave us the confidence to go ahead, even against a MA9 Blodge SS/SF/Sprint skink, and his Ag4 brother.

Well... Nuffle sealed the deal by having all 4 KOs sleep though the last drive, leaving Rayos with a scant 5 players-- 1 Krox, 2 skinks, and 2 saurus. Coach Siersaut said some prayers to Nuffle, and was blessed with a Pitch Invasion, which–– while it did take out his Ag4 skink, it also took out my Blitzer and power-skink, as well as freeing up his LOS boys by taking out mine. Everything seemed ready for the Rayos to cage up and bring in a 3-turn score.

But the pouring rain... ball so slippery... little skink fingers.... THEY COULD NOT PICK UP THE BALL!
We threw the saurus against the ball, swarming and eventually removing the Blodge/SS, and fouled the Stripper onto the bench, bringing in the score on turn 8.

Although Rayos y truenos had a few runs of great luck in the first half, the second half was ours, and we diced them. Coach Siersaut was a gentlemen, and took it all in stride.

cheers, sir! I greatly look forward to the rematch!
