#3 Space Invaders – Groin Strain (MNG)
#5 World of Warcraft – Broken Neck (-AG)
#9 Donkey Kong – Smashed Ankle (-MA)
#17 Evander Clumsysnake – Fractured Leg (MNG)
I was facing my second min-max CD team this time with several PO players coached by a Super Star. Lucky for me I was able to take an extra apoth to the game. The 2 apoth's ended up saving me from 2 perms. I ended up with 2 perms anyway, retiring world of warcraft my star catcher. Min-Max thanks to his 12 FF captured the FAME for the game. To the game.

The first half saw me getting the kick off which I made quick work to enable my rookie catcher to get in space. After a few lucky blocks I was able to break open the defense and run for a third turn touchdown. I kicked off. After the bull was handed the ball I thought I wasn't going to be able to stop him. I put pressure on the cage but he busted that defense rather quickly. I then started to attack the front of the cage looking to push his players back and keep them from caging in my territory. By turn 6 though it looked like I was going to fail but I did notice that his CDB's were rather locked up in the middle and his best break was on the edge. Lucky for me turn 7 went well and I was able to keep the bull from the middle and keeping them to the edge. I thought for sure he was going to send his bull down with two hobgoblins protecting him within walking distance of scoring. However he was out of rerolls and had to play conservative. Luckily I dodged 4 players and was able to setup a wall along the sideline. Without a reroll his bull failed to break out and he did not score.

I started the second half with 8 players. Trying to preserve a tie I tried my best to keep the bull from scoring quickly. After 4 turns he scored.

I was thinking at this point with 7 players I still have a shot at winning. Both of my apoths were used, and a rock landed on my star catcher injuring him. Down to 6 players made it near impossible to setup a wall to protect my runner. I drove the ball down the field anyway. Luckily for me he double skulled to end a turn and I was able to recapture the ball for a quick TD.

Now there were only 3 turns for the bull to score and 1 RR left. My kick was shitty. He drove the field but put his bull in a bad spot near the edge which I figured was a mistake. Lucky for me I was able to -2D push him to the edge and sent two players to him. He then made another mistake and 1 dice blitzed instead of 2. This led to a push that kept his bull from an easy walk in chance. He proceeded to double skull trip on his feet and preserve a victory for me.

Tough win but I think under the circumstances my first half defense was played very well sealing at least a tie. Also the bull was lucky both times to capture the ball without too much trouble which can always be a game factor. Overall I got lucky for some mistakes in the end.
