“The first 9 turns was the Gevehard show today. After that there was no way back for the Nurgle side though they did pound on our stalwart linos.

Mucker started off dumbfounded which concerned us but we managed to get organised with a move off to the left near halfway. As the foul Brutes came across then Jesiah moved back to Wilhelmus who tore off down the other flank with some others switching across behind. He was out of reach for a quick td. Gevehard had a good ko hit on a Warrior too.
When kicking we blitzed forward though Gevehard tripped up. We still got at their carrier soon after but were swatted aside. Then in a big action Gevehard raced around and tumbled down Rancid. Gevehard tried to grab the ball, but needed a second attempt after players juggled it around. Then he kept his cool as he faced a Beast of Nurgle. Somehow he then stood up to 6 blocks in a row, just dodging out of the way. And the 6th one he pounded a Rotter back to the floor! Hugo and Mucker then worked him space as bodies were pushed aside and Gevehard dodged away for glory! After a chasing rotter fell and was hurt we delayed as long as we could.
Second half we blitzed again. The Beast badly hurt Ulric but a pestigor fumbled the ball. Gevehard again went in, knocked him down, took the ball and scored. Great play by the blitzer.
After that the Beast was picking apart our linos and a pestigor comfortably scored. We were getting undermanned so Jesiah tried a td pass to Larrus, alas the blitzer fluffed the catch. The ball went almost all the way back down the other end but Gotwinus and Wilhelmus stopped the lone Pestigor carrier.
A tough game for the Demon this one as the players didn't hit hard other than the impressive Beast of Nurgle late on.”
