“Despite the good showing during our last game, the sponsors had been unresponsive about giving more money to upgrade the stadium. A man who claimed to be a necromancer approached me, however, telling me he would meet me on the pitch with his own team later that night. I agreed, convinced a team full of weak little men his size would be an easy victory.

When the team showed up, my jaw dropped as several zombies filed out of the dressing rooms, flanked by werewolves and flesh golems. I told the boys to buckle down, this would be a difficult game.

The boys kicked off, and both of the wolves stayed back to collect the ball. Not only were they huge, but they could handle the ball too? This would be interesting.

Urik’s suggestion of getting a team doctor proved to be a great one, as he was able to revive Guthrum from an early near death experience. Vermundr, angry at seeing one of his mates going down so hard, lashed out at the nearest zombie, eviscerating him to the point that even the Necromancer couldn’t make the poor thing come back to life again.

Thor attempted to take out the wolf with the ball, but the wolf just barreled past him, making a run for the end zone. He scores his touchdown as the whistle sounds for halftime, and a quick look shows that we are outnumbering the Necromancers team, but just barely.

After a good start, a flesh golem was able to tear past Guthrum, leaving a hole to exploit to get to Thor, with the ball. A wolf streamed in, tearing the ball from his hands and knocking him over in the process. Vermundr rushed in to try and help, but tripped over his own feet and smashed his skull in the process. Sigrun and thor both were shoved into the crowd, leaving my boys with not much of a fighting chance. A wolf gathered the ball, and rushed again towards the end zone, with no one able to pick him up. He ran it in for the touchdown, bringing the boys record back to .500. 2-0-2.
