This was a great game and I enjoyed it thoroughly. Chainsaw had little appreciation for my in game commentary - most of which was telling him how little respect I have for the clawpomb battle plan.

It's funny that chainsaw has a headache, and this "is not the way such a great game should impact me". He seems to think that playing majors is about having a good time, having fun, and generally enjoying yourself. I happen to agree. But I think that if we asked fangbanger, we'd probably get a different view of chainsaw's approach to making friends in game.

We could go on further and point out that if you brought this team to a TT league game and then fouled and clawpomb'd your way to victory in a similar manner, you'd quickly be out of opponents. I'd know because I did dominate my league, and lo and behold, there is no one who will play with me anymore.

My advice to you, and all those out there who build their team around clawpomb and fouling, is that if you want your opponents to be pleasant and happy, you should build a team that is pleasant and fun to play against. Not with, against. In this case, I reflected to you what you presented to me - dirty play, utter brutality, and no regard for your personal feelings or comfort or fun.

Doesn't make me a better man, but we're all weak sometimes, right?

All in all, a fun, close, and very surprising game. And of course I killed the landlady, which is a moral victory all in itself.

#5 Landlady – Dead (RIP)
GLT IX: Fastest To Apply Qualifier 2 - Round 2

This was a great game - it had everything - and I'd have enjoyed the hell out of it, win or lose, had Oryx been somewhat less relentless in his complaining. He filled my entire turns with a stream of whining to the point that it distracted me.

A strong first half for Pig Sty Alley ended 2-1 despite a fizzled lightening bolt letting the elves back into the game. At 2-2, Oryx's wizard was far more potent - all 4 players under the fireball would hit the deck, allowing him to steal and set up a stall that appeared to win the game as I hit tough dice. Landlady was killed on a perhaps-avoidable surf in the process. However, 2-3 down, the Necromantic fans invaded the pitch (riot!) and the referee allowed additional time in which an equalizer forced overtime. I won the toss and soon overtime was merely an opportunity to clear the pitch.

In the end Oryx was unlucky to lose, but arguably fortunate to have arrived in that position. The chef stole 2 of Oryx's 3 rerolls both halves, but he avoided critical failures for the most part. The game swung massively both ways with some incredible moments - the pinnacle being the death of a great legend in a Major, just the way they should go. It is an expensive loss in the middle of the tournament, but another shall rise in her place!

Sadly, despite all this epic fun, I ended up with a headache, which is not the way such a great game should impact me. I would normally have found this enthralling. Instead, after putting up with nearly 1.5 hours of hard whining, I won't rush to play Oryx again.
