#4 Leonardo – Dead (RIP)
Royal Rookie Rumble CCXLV - Round 2

2 badly hurt linerats in the opening turn did not bode well (apothecary used on one). After Soranos enjoyed a solid, well played drive, and I'd carelessly used my last reroll, it looked bleak. This made Krang angry and the rat ogre started to take it out on his Norse opponents.

Then the Dimension X fans rioted and the ref put the clock back, granting DX the chance to score a quick equalizer; 1-1!

With numbers in my favour 2nd half, I opted to score quickly. I wanted to skill up Michaelangelo! Sadly it backfired as Soranos weathered a rough spot to get it to 2-2 and overtime, a gutter runner dying on a dodge in the process. Shucks.

Krang had been causing mayhem with 4 casualties in regulation time whilst the Norse had not made any impact since the opening turn. After fortunately winning the toss, it was always going to be hard for Soranos to defend the winner. DX progress.

Yes, a tight game that came down to the wire with both teams playing without RRs. Krang was definitely the MoM as his mid-game tear left me in a too tough of a spot to rebound from in the end. I am not too upset about the loss as it was a fun game with a concentrated effort by both teams.

As Chainsaw has taken some flak recently, I would like to point out that he was a good sport throughout; his behavior during the match was exemplary and there was no gloating and no whining/complaining when I started the game well and a good run of dice allowed me to punch a hole and hold on to the ball at the end of h2.
To be honest, I remember 1-2 games we had, where this was not the case and had taken away from my enjoyment (and I am not claiming to be a saint either in this matter), so going in, I was not sure what to expect, but in the end I was pleasantly surprised. Respect, Chaini, you have come a long way here and I hope you can keep it up as it is much more fun for both coaches this way. This is not something that can be taken for granted on the internet nowadays and is why I point this out.

Anyways, gl the rest of the way!
