Egads, I didn't think I was gonna pull this one out in the first half. The rats removed several dwarves early and I kept holding onto my apo. Neither coach used apothecaries as it turned out. I foolishly got Shovel tossed out on a foul, though it was worth the risk as it did KO a CPOMBER storm vermin. It just forced Rake to step up to the plate and he didn't disappoint. Still, I hung in there and eventually got the numbers advantage. Once I did, I never let go. The BW Babe came through in a big way and I'm glad I hired one instead of Boomer (whom I usually hire when I have more than 50 but less than 100k inducements).

Also had a nice chat with coach FredrikJ. He was funnier when he had me on the ropes, but he was a good sport throughout the entire game. Win or lose, I would have enjoyed this game because of him. Thanks for the match, FredrikJ. I look forward to playing you again.

Update: Thanks for the kind words.
Just wanted to add a few notes for historical purposes. This was the Tools' dirtiest game so far, with 6 fouls from each team, Piling On galore, and a crowd push that will cost Snatch Blah Der his next game (courtesy of Pile-driver). 'Who?' coach FredrikJ responded when asked by a reporter after the game. Who indeed :)

Another update: This was my 150th Blackbox win.

#2 Snatch Blah Der – Broken Ribs (MNG)
#3 Scolde Drat – Pinched Nerve (MNG)
#9 Royt Darka – Fractured Arm (MNG)
Started off fairly well, with one blitzed and one fouled casualty, and soon an evicted MA8 dwarf. Then I screwed up a bit, and kept hoping for Creek and Week to send more dwarfs to the Cas bin, but it was not to be.

I probably just as well thrown everything and the kitchen sink at the ball instead of hoping to pick off some more dwarfs to get a good shot later.

First half ended 1-1, and second half went downright south. Failed Jump Up rolls, skulls, while watching the Dwarfs send off rat after rat.

Nuffle is a bastard, as my opponent rightly said.

10 Pomb blocks from him caused three casualties, 17 clawpomb blocks from me caused one.

NOT claiming I would've won, I think Cavetroll played a better game than I did, but with a bit less screwed dice I might have been able to actually play the last quarter of the game...

On the other hand it allowed me to chat with a very nice opponent!
