#1 Zigrad – Gouged Eye (MNG)
#10 Gobs – Dead (RIP)
Game 2 for the Chaos Dwarves this time against a Chaos team. Which offered a great deal more than the Nurgle team they previously faced.

The Chaos team won the coin toss much to the dismay of the mutating Dwarves. The half was a cagey affair with the Chaos winning the blocking battle by a considerable amount of blocks due to the superior strength. The CD spent most of the half pushing the Beastmen and warriors about. Though their Bull Centaur did manage to KO a Chaos Warrior. Unfortunately he also went down which opened up the path to the end zone for the Chaos.

The CDs regrouped but could not prevent the TD in turn 6 of the Chaos drive. This did give the CDs time to pull a TD back but the kick was very deep. The CDs moved number of players in to the chaos half to receive a pass but the Chaos team took them all down. The only option left was to pass it to a Bull Centaur, the pass worked but the bull failed the catch. 1-0 to the Chaos at half time.

The second half went as predicted, the Chaos team were outnumbered now and the CDs made their way to the end zone running down the clock. They tried to foul the prone beastmen to see if they could gain a big numerical advantage and try for the win, but it did not happen one Beastman did get KO'd but a Hobgoblin was also sent off. The CDs set up camp and wound down the clock unfortunately they used up their RRs meaning they couldnt risk scoring in turn 8. So Turn 7 would have to do.

The CDs kicked but it was a bad kick right next to the LoS and the Beastmen the Chaos team had great enough movement to send players down both wings. The Cds dealt with one wing and the Warrior moving down the centre of the pitch and tied up one beastman on the other wing, but foolishly they did not use their Bull Centaur to do so, which allowed the Beastman to dodge away in to the end zone and receive a pass which he caught and won them the game.

A disappointing result when it looked an almost certain draw. But a lapse in concentration cost the CDs dearly. The Chaos team were victors.

edit:
Nope didnt think he was in range, just thought he could free up your beastman on the wing.

A very close game that luckily swung to our side.

First half was weird, the dwarves played an extremely aggressive marking game giving up loads of blocks but curiously in turn 4 when the blocks were 22-5 in the chaos favour it was a bull which rolled the first skull/both down of the match, re-rolled to another one, and removed the first player from the pitch(a chaos warrior), Tzeentch works in mysterious ways.

What the Chaos side lacked in crunching power they made up for in stability though even making a few dodges, getting some 1d pows on hobgoblins and the score was done on 2 GFIs, the last one without a re-roll.

2nd half started with a KO and we were 3 men down, failed a few blocks but also did some damage collecting our first SKULL from a puny hobgoblin. Luckily the dwarves used up their re-rolls on a snaked GFI and another bull both downs so we got our chance to score.

Garion, you thought the warrior down the middle was in scoring range? In hindsight I should probably have made a GFI into range instead of marking the bull.
