“The Abandoned Demons take on some dastardly dark elves, who hire 1 bar maiden for moral and possibly alcohol fueled support. The HAD win the coin toss and elect to receive. While the ball is in the air, the Demons quickly adjust their positions, some entering the Black~Arks side of the field, and BoneClaw Grimdark in position to catch the ball. He drops it. Jeffro “Salty Lips” Ball Slurper runs to put some cover on the dropped ball while the HAD players on the LoS start their siege. Grong the Coward knocks a delf lino down, so does Lorbata “Ghandii” Gutripper, Ch’Thul the Hoader stuns one, and Aesthetic Daemon blitzes into the delf runner but only manages to shove him backwards.

BoneClaw Grimdark picks up the pigskin, and we have a ball game! A dark elf blitzer blitzes Grong, and he’s taken out on a stretcher. Grong is done for the game. Some demons are knocked to the ground before a delf attempts to take out Garrison Frost and is himself smashed to the ground. BoneClaw moves the ball forward in a semi-cage, however progression is halted due to the sheer number of delves surrounding the cage. The demons try to fight the delves off, but none are removed from the pitch, with the exception of a lino on the other side of the field Badly Hurt by Ch’Thul.

Surrounded by HAD players, a delf blitzer stands up smacks down Boneclaw, catches the ball and flees down field. The Demons now need to scatter their defenses, and desperately need a heroic play. Slaarth “the Slovenly” Greathoof is up to the challenge. Extending past his natural speed, Slaarth blitzes the delf with the ball, removing the bugger from the rest of the game. Slaarth is in turn knocked down by a delf blitzer, and the delf runner collects the ball and launches it up-field into the arms of a waiting lino.

Aesthetic Daemon blitzes the lino with the ball and they both hit the deck. The lino recovers, and scoops up the ball. Jeffro “Salty Lips” manages to dodge away from the delf runner and blitz the ball carrier but only shoves him towards the sidelines. While right next to Ch’Thul, the delf with the ball still manages to chuck it back to the runner, who makes a beeline for the endzone. Goat Boy, who is flanked by not one, but two delf blitzers dodges away from them and blitzes the runner. The runner dumps the ball off right next to the endzone, where Goat Boy goes to stand guard. Unfortunately the delves have no trouble knocking Goat Boy away, and the runner jogs in for an easy pick up and score. The first half ends 1-0 for the Black~Arks.

The delves receive the kick-off for the second half. The kick bounces back into the Demons half, and the touchback is handed to the delf runner. Aesthetic Daemonis KO’d. Boneclaw Grimdark is smashed in the face and has his skull fractured. The Apothecary manages to save him somehow by breaking his ribs. He’s done for this game and will be absent the next, but should make a full recovery. After the Demons try to fight off the delves, Garrison Frost is KO’d.

Lorbata “Ghandii” Gutripper responds with a KO of her own, on a delf lino. The delves lose out on a retaliation when a miserable block from a lino backfires. However, after Ch’Thul and Lorbata remove all the obstacles, Slaarth trips before he can tag the delf with the ball. That little hiccup is overlooked however, as Lorbata blitzes the delf runner with the ball, and as he flings the ball away, she snatches it out of the air. Lorbata ends up marked by two delves, but still in position of the ball. She knocks one out on her way down field.

A delf lino on the verge of blitzing Lorbata trips and smashes his own hand. In his effort to free up Jeffro, so that he can free up Lorbata, Harold “the Maxx” Scholnick is knocked down. The delf lino adds an assist to another one who is stunned attacking Lorbata, but she is knocked down as well. Lorbata stands up to take out another lino, but is sent right back down. Harold is knocked out. A last ditch effort to push Slaarth into scoring distance ends when Lorbata fails to make an admittedly unlikely dodge to set up a pass. The end to a very close game for Woodpusher’s Home for Abandoned Demons. ”
