#3 Tom Boozling – Groin Strain (MNG)
#11 Joss Brewmeister – Smashed Hip (-MA)
#16 Mr Punching Ball – Fractured Leg (MNG)
What a game!

The Sammiches started strong, scoring their first touchdown turn 1, after a failed pass by the Monsters. Beerlo flew in the air, way too far, went back to pick up the ball, and scored. Groin was immediately banned after that, which was a great relief for the Sammiches.

The Monsters stroke back during the rest of the first half. Most of the blocks resulted in an injury. Ranuld had a great game and earned the title of "fling specialist". He would be punished later on when one of the trees decided that was enough.

The Monsters failed another pass at the beginning of the second drive, and Beerlo saw an opportunity to score another touchdown. All he had to do was to pick up the ball in a tackle zone, dodge away from tacklers, hand over the ball to Bob Ratling, and let the tree next to him throw the midget. Easy stuff for the Sammiches... But he failed the pick up, and that was the last time we heard of him in this game.

The rest of the drive was quite violent. Only one fling was left on the pitch at the end of the first half, but the trees didn't give up. Bob Strongroots was particularly inspired, and started tracking down the ball carrier, quite successfully I must say. He even managed to get rid of a Diving Tackler to pick up the ball. He was probably inspired by the Monsters: if dorfs can do it, why couldn't he after all?

But the dorfs were too many, and they successfully took him down, allowing Rhoda to score a touchdown for the monsters at the end of the first half.

Both apos were gone for the second half. The Monsters saved Ranulf from a serious injury, and the Sammiches' apo patched Bob Ratling up so he can play again. With Beerlo gone, they needed a new star.

Quickly surrounded by the dorfs, the Sammiches decided to score early. Bob Ratling had the ball. Bob can fly. And he did. The crowd was so impressed (or was it upset?) a riot burst out for the second time in this game. The Monsters only had 4 turns left to score - as their coach said, that's roughly how long it takes a dorf to walk around a tree.

Out of options, the Monsters decided to attempt a long pass, but Bob Strongroots shew them one more time how it's done, and intercepted it! He was too far away to score in time, but Bob Ratling was in range. After a few blocks and a handover, the latter scored the 3rd and final touchdown for his team.

Great game against a great team. See you for the rematch. :)
