“A fun game. The skaven were always a bit young to be trying their luck in a major, so getting into the third round to face the dwarves of Negative Purple was an accomplishment to be proud of regardless of result.
The kick linerat almost paid off in the first half, but we didn't have a deep enough bench to properly contest the second. If there had been more KO's and less serious injuries I may have regreted not taking a babe and linerat. All in all we took our chances and came up short.
On our shopping list: a can opener and a stripper.”

Dunenzed got the fame and the ball and had elected a linerent with kick, an interesting and aggressive choice. His offence went well, with me unable to remove enough rats and unable to cover their huge speed, a dice fail gave me a shot on the ball but i lacked the courage to try a 4+ and the ag5 str3 guttered it away for the td. We had scant enough time on the clock but had to defend a blitz. The rats couldnt quite get to ball and we managed to recover it and form some vague defense, a Roger BT blitz saw the runner downed but the ball bounced lucky toa blitzer and I was able to dash him home over three turns of gfi and edgy blocking. 1-1 half time.
Second half we got ball and they came into the deep again, but the ball moved slowly forward, as Dunenzed gamely assulted the cage. The rats were fleeing pitch with rapidity now and by the end of the grind they had only 4 on pitch.
Sadly it included the sprint SS gutter and a quick snap turn 16 looked to mean a one turn was VERY on, but the linerat retreiving wasnt up to it and it went to ground.
A fun game, always felt tight even in the deep grind of second half.
