“Piter DeVries was missing this game recovering from a concussion. Beast Rabban sat out virtually the entire game after being KO'd by a bomb. Thufir missed most of the first half. Gurney had to do the work of 4 ghouls and played his butt off. Paul and Count Fenring were less effective than I would have hoped, but they weren't getting protection from the grunts, either. This was a crazy game, and fun for most of it until Nuffle decided he didn't want to give me ANY chance of winning. He dangled the tie several times, only to snatch it away. Every single kick-off event went against me, and the game ended with an Interception. I needed a 5+ to complete a Long Bomb, and the pogo stick needed a 5+ to intercept it. Naturally, Nuffle gave the goblins the 5+ :(

Not to take anything away from coach Stimme. He played an outstanding goblin gameplan, with no fear for his green skins and making the best use of all their skills. He just had good fortune to go with his good play. That's always hard to overcome. I gave it everything I had and came up short on the last play of the game. It hurts. Still, it's only the Dune's 4th loss out of 30 games, so I can't complain too much.

Thanks for helping me fill the grid, Stimme, and grats on the victory. I'm going to take it out on the next sorry bunch of goblins I come across. At least I killed Grenadier. Bombers with Hail Mary Pass are just unnatural, but so awesome while they last ;)
