“A thriller that ends in another defeat for the wrestlers but Little Lord Lucan's performance earns him the title of superstar. A rare thing for snots.

We kicked off and an elf immediately squished out Jake the Snake's life. Another snot was ko'd and the Elves went up the flank with the ball. Haystacks then ko'd a Wardancer as he charged bellowing across the pitch. After a snot was badly hurt the Elf ball carrier went off to the middle to pass and switch flanks. But a fumble! As our player lumbered over to sieze the opportunity Tom Thumb tried to pick up but couldn't do it under pressure. The Elves got it back and Aegnor scored comfortably.
Due the sweltering heat both of our skilled Ogres and the Treeman were amongst those who couldn't return for the drive. It looked bad when Abergandir blitzed the snot ball carrier, Waterboy, but after having the ball stripped from him he did a fabulous diving tackle to trip up the Wardancer! He then got up, grabbed the ball under pressure, dodged through to Lucan who grabbed the ball and was then launched into the Elves half by Jim Breaks. A fabulous TD was the result. However due to the excitement we didn't stall for a moment which would have taken up the time the Wood Elves needed for their TD. They responded with a simple TD just before half time. We did have another quick ttm chance but the snot was dropped to the floor.
Second half Jim Breaks took up the mantle as ball carrier. A couple more kos helped open up space but a Wardancer stripped the ball from the Ogre. He was undaunted and got it back before dashing on. Near the endzone it was yet again taken from his grasp but Lucan caught it! The great snot then dodged away for the equalizer.
We tried desperately to prevent the Elven drive success but were easily outmanouvered. Added to that Lucan was badly hurt just before the score. We set up again to try for another ttm but the Elves were wise to the game. Before the final whistle Haystacks made a huge blow on a Guard Elf which would have killed him if not for apo work (still retired). In response the offended Elves surrounded the Ogre and badly hurt him!
