“Facing some tuned up Necros and down in rating this looked like a tough proposition so we enlisted a wandering apothecary.
The Necros got perfect defence but surprisingly they decided their position was perfect already.
Early on we moved up the flanks with Lorello Smooth having to barge a rookie Werewolf aside before scoring.
On receiving a zombie badly hurt an Elf though the Wight fumbled the ball. Terith moved into their half seeing a possible opportunity. The Wight then picked up and rushed over to handoff the ball to the rookie Wolf who dropped it. Death or Glory blitzed and ko'd him so Terith delightedly picked up with his nerves of steel and raced away. We covered him somewhat though the jumpup legend wolf Misty Dawn tried to get through at him, but was tripped up. Soon it became 2-0.
The Necro kos returned so it was back to 11 v 11. With a perfect defence we switched to a flank. The wight picked up and moved forward. Terith saw another golden opportunity was available if he could get round the enemy line. However first Ultra did a pathetic snaked dodged attempt and fell flat stunned. The chance gone and turned to horror as multiple Elves were hit and another Elf was badly hurt by another zombie. The Necros could then advance and after causing a couple of kos they got their first TD just before half time with a hand off in the end zone.
Second half Teclis was quickly ko'd by the piling on Misty Dawn. Seeing the carnage this legend wolf could cause Syrius X dashed over to the sprawled wolf and gave him a big swinging kick to the end. The Wolves eyes closed. It was badly hurt! After that the Necros were under some pressure but Galad Quickclimb poorly fell when we had a chance to get 2 on the carrier and then their dirty players came out and made a ko and badly hurt with kicks of their own. Our numbers dwindled and their other wolf got the equalizer.
We didn't make use of the 2 apos, maybe should have on at least 1 badly hurt..
